At the Active Longevity Center, a toguzkumalak tournament was held on the occasion of National Sports Day, initiated by the Nura district. The intellectual competition took place at School No. 111.
Representatives of two generations took part in the tournament — retirees and school students. The older participants demonstrated their life experience and mastery of the game, while the younger players showed quick thinking and ingenuity.
“The toguzkumalak tournament between students and representatives of the older generation was held in a team format. The retirees’ team showed clear dominance, taking 1st and 2nd places, while 3rd place went to the school students. In this way, our veterans set an example for the younger generation in mastering the national game,” said the Center’s cultural organizer, Farida Kassenova.

During the competition, participants demonstrated a high level of preparation.
Such events help strengthen connections between generations.
