On August 7, a literary and educational evening titled «Abai – danalyqtyń nūryn sepkén Túlga» was held, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh thinker and poet Abai Qunanbaiuly. The event opened with a heartfelt speech by scholar, teacher, and literary expert Marzhan Bektursynkyzy, who shared thoughtful insights about Abai’s legacy and philosophy. The evening was organized at a high level, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.
Among the honored guests were prominent figures from the cultural and public spheres: recipient of the “Qurmet” Order and well-known journalist Gaziz Baltabai, poet and writer Bayan Alpi, public figure S.Sybagatuly, and Chairman of the Baikonyr District Veterans Council Qayyrbek Namazshamuly. They shared their reflections and emphasized the enduring value of Abai’s spiritual heritage. The program featured readings of Abai’s works and a book exhibition showcasing research and publications about the poet. The audience expressed deep gratitude for the meaningful and enriching evening.
