A special event dedicated to National Costume Day was held at the Active Long Life Center in the Saryarka district as part of the Nowruz holiday celebrations. On this day, the center’s participants embraced national traditions and enjoyed the festive mood.
The celebratory concert was opened by an elegant choreography performance by the “Shugila” dance group, immersing the audience in the vibrant atmosphere of the Nowruz holiday. The event highlighted the importance and beauty of national costumes.
The center’s adult modeling group organized the “Kerbez Models” fashion show, presenting stunning national costume designs and showcasing their aesthetic value.
Additionally, guest designer Kaliya Korlan presented her new spring collection “Köktem”, offering the audience the chance to purchase the featured garments.
As part of the event, grandmothers from the center’s occupational therapy group introduced hand-sewn kimeshki (traditional headscarves) and shared the significance and uniqueness of these garments. This event, dedicated to promoting traditional Kazakh national costumes, left unforgettable impressions on the participants.
