The “Sağynysh Sazy” ensemble, consisting of talented retirees from the Yesil district, has celebrated its 5th anniversary. The ensemble began its journey in December 2019 at the City Veterans’ Association in the Saryarka district. Initially, the ensemble’s repertoire focused on performing folk songs. However, constantly striving for artistic growth, the ensemble has significantly expanded its repertoire, which now includes nearly 80 songs. The founder of the ensemble was the termeshi (traditional singer), composer, dombyra player, and singer Külzagila Barlykova. The ensemble held its debut concert in 2019 at the “Sharapat” nursing home. Today, the ensemble is led by the Honored Cultural Worker of Kazakhstan, Zhanarbek Iskenderov. Additionally, the artistic development of the ensemble is actively supported by performers such as Sharbat Kurmanova, Bayan Seisembayeva, Kamshat Abdildyenova, Sara Kazguzhina, Korlan Zhanabay, Sarash Kozhankulkyzy, Kansha Eskarakzy, Gulsara Kulchikova, Kanat Kalykhov, Jupar Mukanova, and Lazzat Tleukenova. Recently, the ensemble organized a special concert to celebrate its 5th anniversary, delighting the audience with their soulful performances. The concert program featured termé (traditional singing), folk and pop songs, as well as instrumental kui pieces. The honored guest of the concert was Batyr Temirgaliev, a distinguished artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a renowned kui performer. “Our ‘Sağynysh Sazy’ ensemble consists of around 20 talented retirees aged 63 to 78. They regularly update their repertoire and have recently incorporated more pop songs. Songs like ‘Qaydasyn,’ ‘Mahabbat Muny,’ ‘Sağynysh Sazy,’ ‘Esil Agady,’ ‘Tamshylar,’ and others have won the hearts of our audience. The ensemble actively participates in the city’s cultural events and continues to perform with enthusiasm,” noted Gulshat Alekeshkyzy, cultural organizer of the ALC in the Yesil district. Today, the “Sağynysh Sazy” ensemble has become a favorite among their peers and continues to impress city residents with their artistic achievements. Notably, in 2024, the ensemble participated in the “Astana Stars” – “TURKESTAN GRAND FESTIVAL” in Turkestan and won the Grand Prix. We congratulate the ensemble on this special occasion and wish them continued artistic inspiration!
