At the Active Longevity Center, a literary challenge dedicated to the works of the outstanding Kazakh poet Mukagali Makatayev is currently taking place. The event is organized in honor of the 95th anniversary of the poet’s birth.
Members of the «Ulagat» literary association from the Nura district are participating in the challenge under the guidance of pensioner Rauza Izmurzina. During the gathering, which brought together lovers of literature, 14 members of the intellectual club expressively and thoughtfully recited poems by Mukagali Makatayev.

As part of the event, many of the poet’s widely known works were presented, including «Poetry! Were you my twin?», «It is easy to say “I love my Motherland”», «My Three Blessings», «I Am a Mountain Man!», «What is the use of sighing and regretting», «Let me breathe the pure air of my land…», «Eternal Legacy», «What a Wonderful Day», and «About the Motherland». These poems left a strong emotional impression on the audience. Participants reflected on the profound meaning and spiritual value of Mukagali Makatayev’s poetry, expressing their sincere respect for his creative legacy. Through the poet’s verses, such noble qualities as patriotism, humanity, and love for one’s native land were promoted.
