On September 10, the Center for Active Longevity in the Bayqonur district hosted a master class titled «Öz qolıñızben jasalğan qazirgi zamanǵy stildegi aspalar».

The goal was to create a stylish felt pendant with a national touch, blending traditional ornaments with contemporary design to produce a unique, handcrafted accessory. Participants learned simple techniques of working with felt and crafted original jewelry pieces that reflected their personal style.

During the workshop, the features of both traditional and modern styles were highlighted. In Kazakh culture, amulets and pendants carried not only decorative but also symbolic meaning: ornaments represented prosperity, protection, and family well-being. In earlier times, natural materials such as silver, bone, leather, wool, and semi-precious stones were commonly used. Today, modern pendants are lighter and more minimalist, often made from glass, acrylic, metal, or resin.

The creative workshop inspired all participants and once again proved the beauty and harmony of combining tradition with contemporary art.
