An open lesson of the Kazakh language club titled “Mukagali — A World of Depth” was held at the Active Longevity Center in the Saryarka district to mark the 95th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh poet Mukagali Makatayev.

The lesson was opened by Head of the Department Kenzhebolat Bapishev, who delivered introductory remarks and shared his thoughts on the poet’s life and creative legacy. “He was a poet born once in a thousand years; he passed away at the age of only 45. During his lifetime, his work was not properly appreciated, and it seems that it has still not received its full recognition. I wish Mukagali were known not only by the Kazakh people, but by the whole world,” he noted.

He also expressed gratitude to representatives of different nationalities who show interest in learning the Kazakh language and becoming familiar with the works of Kazakh poets and writers.

The event was aimed at promoting the poet’s literary heritage. During the lesson, pensioners read poems by Mukagali Makatayev.
