The National Active Longevity Center celebrated the Nauryz holiday in a grand manner.
On the day of the Nauryz festival, when people emerge from the harsh winter and greet the new year with the light of the sun, a festive event titled “Nauryz — the beginning of the year” was held.
City residents and guests gathered to watch a concert program prepared by the Center’s art groups and individual artists from among the retirees. Additionally, a theatrical performance was presented, showcasing the national traditions of the Kazakh people, decorated with music, which further enhanced the charm of the celebration.
The curtain was opened with a performance of the piece “Toybastar” by the ensemble of dombrists. The ritual of purifying with fire was staged, and the “Әдемі” ensemble and the “Kerbez_models” group performed.
Dancers from the Almaty district, the grandmothers, presented the audience with the “Spring Waltz” and “Qara Jorga” dances, while the “Arka Melodies” ensemble performed musical pieces.
The director of the Center, Mukhtar Erketaev, congratulated everyone on our great national holiday, emphasizing that this celebration has become a symbol of generational continuity and the deep-rooted traditions and culture of the Kazakh people.
Also, representatives from the Employment and Social Protection Department of Astana, the Almaty district administration, and the Veterans Council joined in congratulating everyone on the Nauryz holiday.
The concert, prepared with the participation of artists, was warmly received by the public.
On Nauryz, people greeted each other with open arms and exchanged kind wishes.
The second part of the celebration continued at the square in front of the “Sana Sport” sports center. A white yurt was erected, and the Center’s staff and retirees prepared and served traditional dishes of Turkic peoples to the public.
People of all ages, from toddlers to the elderly, came to celebrate the Great Day of the people at the Active Longevity Center in Astana. Grandmothers treated the guests to nauryzköje and other traditional dishes.
In addition, the retirees of the Active Longevity Center also took part in the Nauryz celebrations at the Kemal Atatürk Park and the “Astana Arena” stadium.
Thus, the Nauryz holiday at the Active Longevity Center was marked by grandeur, luxury, and unique charm, leaving everyone with lasting impressions.
