On March 22, in honor of the Great Day of the Nation — Nauryz, a large-scale festive event rich in national spirit and cultural significance was organized by the Active Longevity Center of the Nura district for residents of the capital. The celebration took place in an ethno-village set up in front of Astana Arena and turned into a vibrant tribute to Kazakh traditions and art.

The festivities began at 10:00 a.m., where guests had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Kazakh customs and witness various cultural displays within the ethno-village. Inside the traditional yurt, respected elders — Zarubek Asanov, Koshkar Myrzakhmetov, Ashim Zhylkaidarov, and Agzam Umbetyarov — gave their blessings and shared heartfelt wishes with the attendees.

As part of the “Heritage of Ancestors” exhibition, elderly women demonstrated traditional crafts such as spinning wool, processing it, and knitting. These activities highlighted the continuity between generations and served as an inspiration for young people.

Outside the yurt, the festive atmosphere was enhanced by performances from the ethno-folklore ensemble “Nura Sazy,” as well as creative groups “Atameken” and “Nura Auenleri,” who delighted the audience with traditional music and songs.

The highlight of the celebration was the concert program titled “Welcome, Holy Nauryz,” held at Astana Arena. The event opened with the dance “Nauryz Koktem,” performed by the award-winning folk dance ensemble “Kyzdarai,” a Grand Prix winner of international competitions.

Throughout the evening, the “Atameken” ensemble performed songs such as “Sholpan,” “Zhailyaukol Keshteri,” and “Aktamak,” receiving warm applause from the audience. Other performers included Zhanat Borankulova, Gulbaira Kenzhebekova, Zarubek Asanov, Ramazan Kurmanbayev, Amangeldi Nasipbayev, and Zhanargul Dospolova.

The program also featured the “Tamyr” fashion show by the “Ak Bata” club, while the “Kyzdarai” ensemble further energized the audience with their performance “Bi Bileik.” Additionally, the “Ukilim-ai” ensemble and artists such as Yergali Zakariyanov, Gulzhanat Shekerbayeva, Aliya Koizhanova, Karlygash Kizatova, and Saniya Rakhimbayeva performed folk and popular songs, adding a special charm to the evening.

This celebration, dedicated to promoting national art and traditions, strengthened unity and brought joy to all attendees. Events like these, held during Nauryz, play an important role in revitalizing cultural values and fostering the spiritual development of the younger generation.
