Focus group meetings were held at the Active Longevity Centers in the Almaty, Yesil, Baikonyr and Sarayshyq districts as part of the “Development of Public Monitoring and Public Expertise” project, organized by the Belsendi Azamat Public Foundation.

The meetings brought together older adults with extensive professional and life experience who actively participate in public life. Participants exchanged views on the accessibility and quality of social services, public awareness of social projects, and opportunities to participate in community initiatives.

During the discussions, pensioners shared their suggestions for improving the effectiveness of social projects, addressing the needs of the population, and strengthening engagement with residents. Participants’ opinions and experiences will be used to develop analytical findings and recommendations aimed at further improving social projects.

In addition, the Belsendi Azamat Public Foundation plans to organize meetings with members of the Astana City Public Council. These open-dialogue sessions will focus on the Council’s activities, the issues under consideration, and opportunities for residents to participate in the city’s public life and share their opinions and proposals. Each meeting is expected to bring together 35–40 participants.

The focus group discussions will involve 15–20 participants. The project is being implemented with the support of the Department of Internal Policy of Astana.
