The branch of the Center for Active Longevity in the Almaty District organized a literary and musical evening at the Capital Construction and Technical College, dedicated to the work of the renowned Kazakh lyric poet Tumanbai Moldagaliyev.
The event, held within the framework of the “Generational Continuity” project, aimed to introduce young people to the poet’s rich legacy, foster a deeper appreciation for poetry, and strengthen the spiritual connection between the older and younger generations.
During the evening, participants learned about Moldagaliyev’s life, childhood, education, and path in literature. Insightful presentations prepared by students added educational depth to the program.

The literary and musical part of the event featured a variety of poetic and vocal performances.
The program opened with the rendition of “Qústar Áni”, a piece that reflects the creative partnership between Nurgisa Tlendiev and Tumanbai Moldagaliyev.
Throughout the evening, the poet’s lyrical works were recited, including “Zhúrek Syry”, “Ana Tili”, “On Segizge Zhasym Tolganda”, “Kína Qoima, Aqyn Dos…”, and “Zhyldar Ótip Barady”, moving the audience with their sincerity and emotional depth.
Popular songs written to Moldagaliyev’s lyrics — “Baqyt Qúshaǵynda”, “Kúä Bol”, “Qazdar Qaityp Barady”, and “Qairan Menin Zhúregim” — were also performed, bringing a spirited musical touch to the evening.
The event was organized with the active involvement of the “Tamerlan” poetry club for seniors, whose members contributed significantly to the program’s creative atmosphere.

The evening left listeners inspired, offering a profound spiritual experience through Moldagaliyev’s heartfelt poetry.
“Today we clearly witnessed a true spiritual dialogue between two generations. Our seniors performed nearly ten songs and recited poems by heart, while the students shared detailed insights into the poet’s life and work. Previously, we held a similar event at School-Gymnasium No. 91, and soon we plan to meet with university students,” noted Bakhytzhan Tuleubaeva, cultural coordinator of the Center.
The senior poetry club will continue to organize similar literary, musical, and educational events to honor the poet’s legacy and promote his work among the younger generation.
