Creative groups from the Esil District Center for Active Longevity in Astana have returned from a prestigious arts competition held in Tashkent with multiple awards.
Competing among both professional and amateur performers, the ensemble of dombyra players “Asyl Mura” won the Grand Prix in the “Instrumental Art” category.
The ensemble is led by Kazakhstan’s Honored Artist Batyr Temraliev, with Amankul Tokbergenova as the group’s coordinator. During the competition, the senior musicians performed the kuy “Erke Sylkym” by A. Zheldibayev and the Uzbek folk song “Namangan’s Apples”. The latter piece was accompanied by a graceful dance performance from Syrgagul Dutbayeva, earning great admiration from the audience. Another major achievement came from Zabira Aidosova, a member of the “Kazyna” traditional culture group, who claimed the Grand Prix in the “Folk Vocal” solo category. In the “Vocal” genre, Raisa Mukhambetkalieva took first place, while Zagipa Zhanalieva was awarded first place in the “Traditional Folk Songs” category. The “Shyrka Guitar” club ensemble was named First-Degree Laureate in the “Vocal-Instrumental” category. Led by Bakytzhan Sultanova, the group impressed with their polished skills and expressive performance.
The “Baiterek” ensemble, under the direction of Zhabai Kaliyev, also performed successfully, taking first place. Soloist Rymkesh Ordabayeva gave a heartfelt rendition of “Öz Elim” by Nurgisa Tlendiyev, with lyrics by Kadyr Myrzaliev, earning second prize. Additionally, a duet performance by Telsara Nurgalieva and Syrgagul Dutbayeva of the song “Al Qurbym” left a strong impression on the jury.
Importantly, based on the results of the competition, the Esil District teams have been invited to represent Kazakhstan on the international stage. They received official certificates and free invitations to participate in the 1st International «AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX» in Baku and the 5th International “Dubai Grand Festival” in the United Arab Emirates, both scheduled for the end of 2024.
We sincerely congratulate all participating senior artists on their well-deserved victories and wish them continued success on the international scene!
