Today, a heartwarming event filled with kindness and compassion took place at the Zhardem Center. In recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, senior performers from the Active Longevity Center in the Sarayshyq District visited the Zhardem Social Services Center and presented a charity concert.
The main purpose of the event was to bring joy and positive emotions to people who require special care, brighten their day, and promote kindness, compassion, and goodwill.
At the opening ceremony, Serik Karabatyrоv, Director of the Active Longevity Center, addressed the attendees with warm wishes and heartfelt words. He emphasized the importance of such gatherings in strengthening mutual understanding and support among people and expressed his gratitude to everyone who took part in the event.
During the evening, the Center’s talented senior performers presented a special concert program, creating a joyful atmosphere for the audience. The program featured a Kazakh waltz, traditional Kazakh instrumental pieces performed on the dombra, as well as beautiful musical and dance performances, including a gypsy dance and a Spanish tango.
The audience warmly welcomed the performers of the Saryishyk Sazy ensemble, the Syrly Vals and Altyn Saz dance groups, as well as solo artists. Each performance was prepared with great dedication and reflected the performers’ genuine passion for music, dance, and the stage.

The charity initiative went beyond artistic performances. During the visit, grandmothers who attend occupational therapy clubs in the Almaty and Sarayshyq districts presented the Zhardem Social Services Center with paintings they had created by hand. These handmade artworks brought an additional sense of warmth and beauty to the Center.

Such gatherings not only bring joy and lift people’s spirits but also serve as a meaningful reminder of the importance of kindness, compassion, and caring for one another.
