An important round table on the topic “Development of civil society in Kazakhstan” was held in the Almaty region today. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the contribution of civic initiatives and organizations to the socio-economic and political development of the country.
The main topics of discussion are the current state and prospects of civil society in Kazakhstan; mutually beneficial cooperation between the government and civil society organizations; the role of civil initiatives in solving social problems of the country; ways to increase the activity of young people in civil society.
During the event, an exchange of views took place between well-known civil society activists, experts, government representatives and heads of various non-governmental organizations. They noted the impact of civic initiatives on society and their important role in the long-term development strategy of Kazakhstan.
