Today, the State Academic Philharmonic named after Erkegali Rakhmadiyev hosted a festive event titled «Bereketli otbasy – bayandy bolashak». The celebration was dedicated to Family Day and aimed at strengthening the social status of the family and marriage institution. During the ceremony, exemplary families who have lived together for 55, 60, and 70 years were honored and presented with valuable gifts. Twenty harmonious couples from the capital were showcased as role models for the younger generation. Families with decades of shared life gave heartfelt blessings to young couples. Among them were 7 families who have been married for over 55 years, 11 families married for more than 60 years, and 2 families who have lived together for over 70 years. For example, this year marks the 71st anniversary of marriage for elder Kabzhan Bilalov and his wife Kapiza. Together, they raised 9 children and are now surrounded by 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

The awardees also included active members of the Center for Active Longevity: the Altybayev, Duzbayev, Jaykbayev, Avilov, Nurumov, and Akhmedin families. They are regular participants in the Center’s health, intellectual, arts, and handicraft clubs, and they take an active part in community life. «Today’s event is held within the framework of the 2025–2029 program ‘Active Longevity,’ aimed at improving the well-being of senior citizens. Here we see families who celebrated their silver and golden anniversaries, became grandparents, and those who are stepping into their diamond jubilees. Their lives are filled with wisdom and valuable lessons. Honoring them is our duty, as they serve as a living example for future generations — and this is the main essence of today’s gathering,» said Elvira Shamshikenova, Deputy Director of the Center for Active Longevity.

The evening also featured a festive concert by the Center’s talented retirees. The «Ademy» vocal ensemble from the Almaty district performed songs such as «Zhubaylar Zhiry», «Naizagai Kónil», «Kazdar Qaytkanda», and «Bulbul». Additionally, Rauza Nabiullina, a gifted retiree from the Saryarka district, delighted the audience with her rendition of «Eti glaza naprotiv». The Family Day celebration highlighted the importance of family values, promoted morality-based marital relationships, and encouraged the strengthening of spiritual foundations in society. Note: Since 2013, Kazakhstan has celebrated Family Day annually on the second Sunday of September. In 2025, the holiday falls on September 14.
