A table tennis tournament was held among retirees at the Almaty district branch of the Active Longevity Center.
The main goal of the tournament was to promote a healthy lifestyle among retirees, strengthen social connections and friendships between them, as well as increase physical activity and improve the health of older individuals.
About 15 active seniors participated in the sporting event. The oldest participant was 70-year-old Kusaiyn Akssakal.
The two-and-a-half-hour-long tournament saw Kusaiyn Yusupov take 1st place among men, while Rakhima Akhmetova became the winner among women. Second and third places were shared by Sarniyaz Ibrashev, Beisenbek Baymagulov, Magisha Akhmetova, and Nurysh Zhansseitova.
All winners were awarded certificates of appreciation and memorable gifts.
The tournament was organized at the initiative of the Active Longevity Center’s Almaty district branch with the support of the Almaty District Administration.
In general, more than 30 retirees regularly participate in the table tennis club in the Almaty district.
