To mark the International Day of Older Persons, Astana hosted the annual “Older People Are Our Treasure” flash mob. The event brought together participants from the Active Longevity Center of Esil District and local school students.
The flash mob was jointly organized by the Astana Department of Physical Culture and Sports, the Akimat of Esil District, and the Directorate for Sports and Mass Events.
To the rhythm of music, the center’s grandmothers and school students performed a special flash mob dance and actively participated in the event. The dance segment, in particular, created an uplifting atmosphere for both participants and spectators.
The event aimed to show respect for the older generation and strengthen ties between generations. The participation of young people alongside older adults highlighted intergenerational continuity and created an opportunity for communication and the exchange of experience.
