Senior citizens and staff members of the Active Longevity Center in Almaty District took part in the nationwide “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign, contributing to the improvement and beautification of the city.

As part of the initiative, around 30 senior citizens planted trees and cleaned the area around the Orbita store on Petrov Street. The participants actively contributed to the initiative aimed at maintaining a clean environment and helping make their hometown more beautiful.

According to Nurgul Talgatkyzy, Head of the Social Services Department in Almaty District, such initiatives provide older people with an opportunity to actively participate in the life of the community.

“Representatives of the older generation also contribute to protecting the environment and set an example for others. Through initiatives like this, we are helping to make our city cleaner and more beautiful,” she said.

The clean-up campaign encouraged participants to show care for their hometown and once again highlighted the importance of taking care of the environment.
