Zhenisqozha Zhumabayev has been a regular visitor to the Active Longevity Center for the past two years. During this time, he has become one of the most active members of the “Añyz” Dance Ensemble. Having taken up dancing for the very first time at the age of 85, he not only discovered a new passion but also achieved remarkable success.
Zhenisqozha Zhumabayev is a cultured, wise, and distinguished man who serves as an inspiring role model for younger generations. Thanks to his perseverance, dedication, and genuine love for the arts, he quickly became a Grand Prix winner at national dance competitions held in Astana and Karaganda as a member of the “Añyz” Ensemble. He also celebrated another major achievement when the ensemble won the Grand Prix at the “Dance with Your Soul!” International Dance Competition in Türkiye.
Behind these accomplishments stands the professional dedication of the ensemble’s artistic director and choreographer, Irina Smagulova. Over the past two years, she has trained several dance groups and founded the “Qyzdara-ai” Folk Ensemble, as well as the “Elegance” and “Añyz” Dance Ensembles. Thanks to her extensive experience, professionalism, and mentorship, these creative groups have fully realized their potential and earned recognition at both national and international levels.
