At the Saryarka District Active Longevity Center, volunteers from the National Volunteer Network held an educational lecture for the center’s participants on the topic “Learning to Use Social Media.”
The main goal of the session was to improve the digital literacy of older adults. During the lecture, participants learned how to use WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram effectively and safely.
Special attention was given to cybersecurity. The volunteers explained how to recognize online scams, why it is important to avoid suspicious links, and why personal information should never be shared with strangers.
The lecture attracted great interest among the participants. They asked questions, shared their experiences, and received practical advice that will help them use modern digital technologies more confidently and safely.
