A bata blessing contest titled “Ak Bata – Asyl Soz” was held at the Active Longevity Center of the Saryarka district.
The event was organized in honor of Shanyrak Day and aimed to promote one of the key spiritual and cultural values of the Kazakh people — the tradition of giving blessings (bata).
Respected elders — Yersalim Asylbekov, Kalybay Idrisov, and Bekbolat Makhmetov — took part in the contest, demonstrating their wisdom and eloquence.
Following the results of the competition, participants were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts. Members of the jury received letters of appreciation on behalf of the Akim of the Saryarka district, Kenzhebolat Saparuly.

The festive atmosphere of the evening was enhanced by performances from the vocal group “Zamandastar” and Gaziz Mukhtarov, who performed the song “Maraldym.”
As part of the Nauryz celebration, 79-year-old elder Bekbolat addressed the audience with heartfelt wishes. Speaking to the residents of the Saryarka district, Bekbolat Makhmetov gave his blessing, wishing peace to the country and prosperity and unity to every home.
