Today, the pensioners of the Active Longevity Center in the Esil District held a national costume parade as part of «Nauryznama – National Costume Day» under the theme «Kazakh National Costume – A Cultural Heritage of the Nation».
The purpose of the event was to showcase and celebrate our nation’s traditional clothing, culture, and values.
On the holiday, the center’s elderly participants, dressed in national attire, walked along Konaev Street and paused at the Bayterek Monument. They shared good wishes and performed traditional dances.

A group of talented young people also joined to support the parade.
«This year, National Costume Day, highlighting our traditions, style, and national character, was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The parade on March 18 has become a tradition among the elders of the Esil District. Today, nearly 100 pensioners participated, marching in three columns,» said Gulshat Alekeshkyzy, cultural organizer of the Active Longevity Center.
During the event, young members of the «Aul» party offered delicious baursaks, kurut with cheese, and sweet kumis, further promoting our traditions and heritage.
