Last weekend, retirees of the Esil District, together with residents of the “Vremena Goda” residential complex, held a chess tournament. The festive event was aimed at developing neighborhood clubs and supporting intergenerational continuity.
The tournament brought together both adults and young residents, contributing to meaningful leisure activities and strengthening connections between generations. The youngest participant was an 8-year-old child from the neighborhood. Judge Mergalym Nurumov and the organizing retirees carefully monitored the games and ensured fair officiating.
The event took place at the “Birlik” club, opened with the support of veterans. The winners were awarded letters of appreciation and badges on behalf of the Esil District Center for Active Longevity.
