From December 13 to 15, the Republican Sports Festival among Centers for Active Longevity was held in Kokshetau, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The large-scale event brought together participants from different regions of the country and became a true celebration of sport, activity, and unity for representatives of the older generation.
At the official opening of the festival, Akim of the region Marat Akhmetzhanov delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of promoting active longevity, supporting older adults, and popularizing mass sports.
The festival also included a cultural program. Renowned Kazakhstani artist Roza Rymbayeva was invited as a special guest.
Our center was represented at the national level by a team of 18 participants. The tournament took place over two days and featured five sports disciplines: togyzkumalak, chess, table tennis, asyk atu, bes asyk, and sport dances.
The results of the competition were impressive, with our participants winning several awards:
Asyk Atu:
• 1st Row — 4th place: Zhetigen Sarsebaev
• 2nd Row — 1st place: Serik Raimbayev
• 3rd Row — 2nd place: Ilyas Abilgazinov
Chess:
• 2nd place: Gulzhan Koshkinshinova
Togyzkumalak:
• 3rd place: Gauhar Zhanabayeva
Table Tennis:
• 2nd place: Berik Toktamisov
Bes Asyk:
• 2nd place: Bakhytgul Bayimbetova
