The Baikonyr District Active Longevity Center held a dialogue at the Dostyq Palace on the topic “The Role of the State Language in Astana’s Cultural Space and Language Policy in Cultural Events.” The event was attended by the Chief Architect of Astana, Amanzhol Shaimerdenuly Chikanaev, and the head of the center’s Kazakh language club, Marzhan Bekturssynkyzy, who participated as speakers. They shared their views on the importance of the state language in the spiritual and cultural life of the capital. Participants also actively engaged in the discussion and expressed their opinions.
During the event, it was noted that the use of the state language in Astana is steadily expanding and becoming more visible in various cultural and spiritual projects. It was also highlighted that the valuable initiatives of the older generation are being carried forward by the youth. Such meaningful meetings not only allow for discussion of important issues but also contribute to the development of cultural initiatives and serve as an example for the younger generation.
