About the work of the Active Longevity Center
Interview with the Director of the Center, Serik Zholaushyuly Karabatyr
— Serik Zholaushyuly, what is the main mission of the Active Longevity Center? Could you outline the key areas of your work?
— The main mission of our Center is to create conditions for senior citizens to spend their free time efficiently and to organize meaningful cultural leisure for them.
Our Center offers sports and wellness clubs for retirees, language learning and computer literacy courses, a sensory room for emotional relief, as well as physiotherapeutic relaxation rooms. In addition, we hold useful lectures on legal and financial literacy, and provide all the conditions for creative self-development.

Currently, the Center operates 25 different types of clubs and activity groups on a regular basis. To date, over 17,000 pensioners across the capital actively use our services. Since the beginning of 2025, 4,090 retirees have registered and started receiving services at the Center.
