In honor of International Qigong Day, pensioners from the Baikonur district Active Longevity Center in the capital gathered at the Atatürk Park to practice the traditional Chinese discipline. Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines breathing exercises, meditation, and physical movements aimed at improving overall health, boosting energy, and restoring balance within the body.

The master class brought together more than 50 pensioners, city guests, young athletes from the Qigong Development School, as well as the leadership of the Active Longevity Center. The event was led by an experienced specialist, sports instructor Zhanat Tuyakbayev. During the program, groups of elderly people and children performed a demonstration of Qigong breathing exercises.

In addition, several pensioners were honored with awards for their sporting achievements on the occasion of Qigong Day. Notably, Natalia Knaub was certified as a Level 3 Qigong instructor; in the Tai Chi category, Saltanat Kozhanova and Gulbarshyn Adamova received special recognition; and in Kung Fu, Batima Elkibayeva earned the red belt, while around ten other pensioners were awarded the yellow belt.
