The Kerbez_models group from the Sarayarka District Center for Active Longevity returned triumphantly from an international competition held in Bulgaria. From July 14 to August 3, the famous Amphitheater stage in the city of Obzor hosted the International Dance Festival-Contest Dance Shore, a bright cultural event under the Art in Motion project, supported by the embassies of Kazakhstan and Russia in Bulgaria.
The festival aimed to foster international friendship through choreography, promote both traditional and modern dance culture, support talented artists, and preserve the heritage of folk choreography. Representing Kazakhstan, the Kerbez_models group earned the First Degree Laureate award in the category Fashion Show. Ensemble (60+ age group), and received a special prize for Best Stage Image.
During the performance, the elegant ladies showcased a designer collection from the ZEKEN MODA brand, created by Kairol Abishev — member of the Eurasian Designers’ Union, academician of the Design Academy, and recipient of the «Golden Scissors with Diamond Blade» award.
The group is led by Ekaterina Zhakiyakyzy, and the fashionable grandmas continue to celebrate the beauty of national costumes. They rehearse three times a week at the Sarayarka District Center for Active Longevity.
