On July 30, an open session titled “Health is Wealth” was held at the Esil District Social Services Center as part of the “Aiküne” Kazakh gymnastics program. The event was led by Gulnar Shinasilova, an experienced instructor from the Center for Active Longevity and a master of the Aiküne method.

During the session, instructor Gulnar Syzdyqovna emphasized that Aiküne is a safe and effective form of exercise for older adults and encouraged participants to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Each participant’s movements were closely monitored, with particular attention given to the proper execution of the exercises.

“I’ve noticed that since joining Aiküne, my muscles and joints have become stronger. This type of exercise reduces pain in the legs, improves circulation, and calms the nervous system. It’s incredibly beneficial for elderly people. I’m deeply grateful for this free course,” said 65-year-old pensioner Nursulu Baikina, an active participant of the Aiküne program.

Currently, over 700 retirees in Astana regularly take part in Aiküne classes. Their ages range from 65 to 80 years.

At the end of the session, Janar Yesenamanova, Head of the Social Services Department for the Esil District, praised the enthusiasm and dedication of the elderly participants and presented letters of appreciation to the most active seniors.

This day marked the culmination of six months of continuous effort, discipline, and perseverance for 50 retirees who successfully completed the program.
