A unique eco-friendly bike ride for pensioners, titled “Zhasyl Zhol – a Legacy for Future Generations!”, was held in the capital. More than 60 people participated in the event. The initiative aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle, increase social engagement among the elderly, and foster environmental awareness.
Participants ranged in age from 61 to 84 years old. The oldest participants, 84-year-old Kaipkali Smagulov and Andrey Fyodorov, demonstrated excellent physical fitness and enthusiasm, serving as role models for the younger generation. The participants called for greater care for nature and the preservation of the city’s cleanliness.
The bike ride was supported by the Astana City Department of Internal Policy, the Directorate for Mass Sports Events, representatives of the AMANAT party, and the Akimat of the Nurinsky District.
At the end of the event, all participants received commemorative gifts.
This eco-friendly initiative served not only as an event in support of environmental protection but also highlighted the importance of an active lifestyle in older age and the strengthening of intergenerational ties.
