The staff of the Active Longevity Center met with Bakhytzhan Tazhibai, the Chairman of the Public Association “AQNIET” – the Sectoral Trade Union of Healthcare and Public Service Workers of Kazakhstan.
At the meeting of the primary trade union organization, union members raised important social issues such as labor disputes, wellness during paid leave, financial assistance, and more.
In turn, Chairman Bakhytzhan Tazhibai provided a detailed explanation of the union’s structure, the use of membership dues, the process of collective bargaining, and the support and legal assistance provided to trade union members.

During the meeting, members received comprehensive answers to their questions.
Today, 90% of the Active Longevity Center’s staff are members of the trade union.
“I believe that the main role of the trade union is to protect workers’ rights. Such public institutions play a vital role for labor collectives. Currently, nearly 100 employees of the Center are union members, including 9 active union representatives. We are now implementing various initiatives aimed at supporting children, health improvement, charity, and professional development of employees,” said trade union activist and HR officer Nurgul Erzakhkyzy.
According to union activists, this year the main focus will be on enhancing staff qualifications, creating conditions for engaging in sports, and organizing a trip to China for experience exchange.
