In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, a military-patriotic song challenge titled “Songs Sung Even in War” was held at the Active Longevity Center.
The main goal of the event was to promote military-patriotic songs and to pay tribute to the heroism and legacy of historical figures.
Artistic groups from each district took part in the challenge, performing patriotic songs and expressing their love for the homeland through art.
More than 150 retirees participated, conveying the bravery of wartime soldiers and the hardships of war through heartfelt performances.
Notably moving were performances by the ensembles “Berezka,” “Atameken,” “Nura Äuenderi,” “Asyl Mura,” “Gulder,” and solo renditions of songs like “Äliya,” “Katyusha,” “Smuglyanka,” “Blue Scarf,” and others.
The participants sang not only patriotic songs but also compositions created during the war on the front lines—songs about the longing of soldiers for their homeland and their heroic deeds.
The organizers emphasized the significance of the day, noting that the challenge fosters patriotic values in the younger generation and instills respect for WWII veterans and the legacy of the Great Victory.
Every performance resonated with the audience, showcasing a strong national spirit.
The senior performers honored the wartime heroes by preserving their memory through song.
