The pensioners of the Almaty district have made it a tradition to organize competitions in traditional games. Every month, the center invites trainers to promote national games among pensioners and holds competitions in such games as “Tug of War,” “Asyk aty,” “Ring Toss,” and “Arm Wrestling.” Trainers Balmyra Bekbussynova and Aybek Koshzhanov, who are promoters of national games, not only teach pensioners the art of asyk shooting but also organize small competitions among active seniors. During the game, about 10 pensioners stood out for their skills, including 75-year-old Nurlan Samatuly, 72-year-old Radhan Alipbaev, and 69-year-old Kuandyk Dukesov. Overall, asyk aty is beneficial for older people, as it helps improve agility, attention, and memory.
